Creativity at the forefront of WOO London Congress

Creativity will be at the forefront of WOO’s London Congress, which is set to be the largest and most important gathering in WOO’s recent history.

Tim Bleakley, chairman of Ocean Outdoor, is heading up WOO’s creativity workstream, with congress including a range of sessions on the subject.

Putting Creativity Centre Stage

Among other themes, System 1’s Orlando Wood and Ocean Outdoor’s Melanie Blood will explore the fundamentals of great creative, highlighting the artistic elements that will Make Outdoor Creative Again, Bleakley’s rallying call to the industry last year.

Katy Hopkins, Creative Consultant will explain how creativity achieves attention, disruption, emotion, memory connection and trust, turning a brand from something people avoid into something they stop for, feel something about and want to share.

WOO will also be building and curating a global showcase of the worlds best OOH work, updated continuously and amplified across every WOO platform. Indeed, this year’s global awards to be presented on the afternoon of Day 1 will highlight some of the best recent OOH creativity from around the world.

Sustainability, Data, Regulation

There will also be a deep focus on WOO’s other three strategic pillars - sustainability, data and measurement and regulation.

Katrin Robertson, CEO of blowUP media, and Alex D’Albertanson of Ad Net Zero will update congress on the development of the AdNetZero GSMF (D)OOH carbon calculator as sustainability in the medium remains a key WOO point of focus.

Charles Parry-Okeden, will introduce a number number of sessions focussing on data and measurement highlighting the fundamental importance of these areas in the continued growth of OOH. Amongst these sessions Gideon Adey,  WOO’s Measurement Consultant will be launching an updated version of WOO Audience Measurement Guidelines - last presented at the WOO Global Congress in Toronto in 2022.

Kai-Marcus Thäsler, MD of B|A|M (the German Outdoor Association), and Guy Parker, Chief Executive of the UK’s ASA will discuss the impact of increasing regulation on our medium.  Kai will look at the development of WOO’s coordinated global policy response to this growing regulatory pressure around the world.

London 2026 will be our biggest and best Congress to date. We will have a gathering in one place of speakers and panellists full of unmatched expertise and knowledge, and they will be sharing their research, insights and ideas with what promises to be a record number of delegates.

With immense opportunities opening up for OOH across the media landscape I am confident that London 2026 will prove a springboard for a range of ground-breaking and game-changing initiatives.
